The tourism service of Spa invites you to discover the city accompanied by Gaëtan Bobelin, an aristocrat in 18th century attire obsessed with local history, who is a storyteller and caricaturist.
An exciting hike with visit to the most important tourist attractions of the city of Spa along stops with stories. Gaëtan takes you in the wake of Victor Hugo, queen Christina of Sweden and Tsar Peter the Great. A visit filled with romance and humor. Hiking throughout the year, Adults: € 4,-, Children 6 to 12 years: € 2,-. The hike takes approximately 2 hours. Maximum of 35 people per group.

Aroboretum de Spa Tahanfagne

The origin of the arboretum dates back to 1898, to the area names "Dans le Sart", located in the state forest of the Sart. It possessed an experimental plating and a collection of which currently nothing is left. The current shape exists since 1932, but the planting one can admire is often older. The arboretum brings certain types together, characteristic for one and the same region. The adjacent "Maison de la Nature" (House of Nature) and the forest of the domain of Bérinzenne are worth a visit. Opened throughout the year. Free entry. Accessibility: center of Spa, follow the signs "Musée de la forêt" in Géronstère, turn left and subsequently, after approximately 800 m, turn right.

Museum of the forest and the water. Starting point of various hikes in the Venen or in the forest. Themes: groundwater, natural mineral water, the Venen and the ecosystems in the forest and along the shores, the biodiversity, the forestry, the deer and the forest animals, the history of the landscape, stories and legends, night animals. An extensive and fully renovated museum (inaugurated on June 21st, 2008) presenting the collector's items using frescoes, interactive modules, pictures, sound and light display, multimedia.

Tourist Routes

With over 6000 km over marked and outlined hiking routes, Belgium has the most dense network of hiking paths in Europe, of which the Ardennes are particularly suitable to hike. Long hikes, on your own or accompanied, complete discovery trips and multi-day trips, anything is possible. At the camping, hiking maps are sold which can tie up your entire holiday. You can make trips of full day or half a day with an official guide of the Office du Tourisme de Spa. Or you can choose a complete discovery trip through Spa and the Ardennes or even through Spa-Theux, the region of Franchimont. The Hoge Venen are very suitable for extensive hikes with or without a guide.

Of course, sporty cyclists have not been forgotten! During high season, mountain bike trips are organized from the camping and if you would like to hit the road by yourself, route maps are available as well.

Wandelroutes door de Ardense natuur

België kent een zeer dicht netwerk aan wandelroutes, in totaal maar liefst 6.000 km aan routes door België - aan afwisseling geen gebrek. Dat maakt een wandelvakantie in de Ardennen een uitstekende keuze. Geniet van het schitterende landschap met bossen, weilanden, veengebieden, heidevelden en wandel door idyllische dorpjes en langs eeuwenoude kastelen. Vergeet ook zeker niet je fotocamera mee te nemen en een paar prachtige plaatjes te schieten. Diverse wandelroutes vind je op Ardennen Wandelen en op Wandelen in de Ardennen.

Faciliteiten Spa d'Or

Na deze vele wandelingen door de Ardennen kun je op onze camping een frisse duik nemen in het openluchtzwembad of genieten van een hapje en een drankje op het terras van onze bar of restaurant. Voor kleine boodschappen kun je terecht in de campingwinkel. Wanneer je na een lange dag nog energie over hebt kun je je uitleven met een potje voetbal of volleybal op de sportvelden. En ook de kinderen mogen graag tot in de late uurtjes spelen in de buitenspeeltuin. In en rondom het hoofdgebouw heb je toegang tot gratis wifi zodat je de schitterende foto's van de wandelingen kunt delen met het thuisfront.
