Camping in the area of Stavelot
If you're staying at a camping in the area of Stavelot, nothing will stop you from visiting this picturesque city. Stavelot dates back to the Middle Ages, something that shows in its narrow paved streets and its old buildings. The renovated abbey, constructed next to the remains of the abbey built in 648 CE, forms the imposing central point of the city. The abbey buildings contain no less than three different museums, and during the summer months cozy flee markets are organized at the courtyard. Enjoying a drink at one of the market's terraces is also a great way to spend some time.
Those visiting Stavelot can also pay a visit to the lovely Trois Points and the Coo waterfalls. Both locations are at no more than a couple of kilometers from Stavelot, in a convenient triangle. The area around Stavelot is also very suitable for going on beautiful hikes and cycling trips.
